Went to Singapore last week for a business trip. Have some free time and walk around in City Square - Johor Bahru. To my surprise the staff there is packing all the goods. This is the 3rd street wear shops closing their store in this year.

SHOWROOM : Return Of The Kuat Kuat Sale
Received an email today and came to my surprise Showroom is the next one who doing the sale. Will pay a visit this weekend to find out how strong is this sale since the last sale is quite strong. Now, the question is who is the next going to have sale ? Sole What? or What's Good ?

TIMES SQUARE vs. SUNGEI WANG?
I think this is the battle of the year between streetwear stores in Times Square vs. Sungei Wang ? Who will win the battle ? We all will know on the eve of Chinese New Year. What is the odds ? Here is some of my very simple calculation based on their flyers info.
BOUNDLESS
3 main prizes = Levis Fenom Crush 6 , Visvim Christo and Visvim Bag
RM 388 = RM 200 voucher + secret item + cap + tee or pant
RM 388 = RM 0 voucher ( force to buy tactic = NO GOOD ) + (hopefully not so called " gucci belt ") + RM 50 + RM 50 or RM 80
You pay RM 388 and you confirmed getting RM 100 or RM 130 of stuff.
You lost RM 288 or RM 258

I start with
RM 250 = 1 exclusive tee + 2 tees + angpau / 1 vans + 2 tees + angpau / 5 tees + angpau
RM 250 = RM 50 + RM 100 / RM 100 + RM 100 / RM 250
You pay RM 250 and you confirmed get back RM 150 or RM 200 or RM 250
You lost RM 100 or RM 50 or breakeven ( but you have a chance to get prizes with their angpau )
RM 100 = 2 tees + angpau
RM 100 = RM 100
You breakeven + you get a chance to win some of their prizes in the angpau.
So the conclusion is Times Square shops win hands down.
Buy RM 100 pack is more worth than RM 250 pack but again we do not know where is the big angpau. RM 100 or RM 250 ? I will go figure out soon.
